Shae Himmelberger is a PhD student in Political Science at UCLA specializing in social and political theory. His research investigates the propagation of ideas, norms, and practices across media environments, with particular attention to technical systems’ structuring of what can be seen, said, and taken as politically meaningful. His work develops genealogical and interpretive approaches to incipient algorithmic organizations of social and political life.
